About Helen Denerley

Many Scottish artists are known for the discipline of looking and drawing and for their closeness to nature. This could not be more true than in the work of Helen Denerley who lives close to the land surrounded by empty roads. Even within the bounds of her unforgiving medium she creates an apparently effortless line as rich as the best charcoal drawing. Helen`s work also has a great humanity, optimism and an enduring appeal. The purity of Helen`s sculpture can only be diluted by whisky, laughter and the courage to dream

Biography / CV of Helen Denerley

Helen Denerley Lives and works in Aberdeenshire, with 27 years experience, concepts and ideas are all my sculptures are. Made from scrap metal using relics of the horse-drawn day of agriculture alongside discarded modern machinery. Some of the parts have been hand-made by blacksmith and used to farm the land until they are worn out. In Strathdon I am surrounded by life, people, plants animals and birds, all living within the cycle of the changing seasons. This combination of material and subject becomes my sculpture, breathing new life into old metal

Customer comment on 'Sidewind 2 (Bronze abstract Figures in wind statue)' by Plamen Dimitrov
Dear Peter

Just to say how thrilled and delighted we are with our recent sculpture purchased through Art Parks online – “When I Saw You” by Kay Singla (a truly gifted artist and wonderful person).

Once again, our buying experience has been absolutely first class – both in our dealings with you and Sarah at Art Parks and with the individual sculptors directly.

As you may remember, we have previously bought sculptures via your website ... [Read more]
